In 1957 Anastasio Jesús Victorino arrives at Vitoria from San Vicente de la Sonsierra to fulfil his military service obligation and begins to sell the wines from his father's vintage, distributing it himself on a bicycle through the streets of Vitoria. Helped by his father, wife and brother-in-law Martín Cendoya, the business prospers and with the first profits he decides to open his own premises at Calle Coronación, number 16 in Vitoria. In just a few years, taking advantage of the growth of Vitoria's new neighbourhoods, Victorino inaugurates several points of sale in several districts of the city: Gorbea, Zaramaga, Arana, etc. |
